I hate sounding bias, but no one can do my hair like Latonya! She is one class act, and I love the service and friendship I receive from her. She treats all clients with extra care! Japan has been hard on my hair, but I know when I see her this summer, she’ll bring it back to life!

Tonya has been doing my hair for 9 1/2 years now. I stumbled upon Tonya while looking for another stylist and I ended up in the wrong shop which turned out to be the best mistake I ever made. At that time I was expecting with my twins which are now 9 years old. Being pregnant in the heart of the summer, I was grumpy, had hormonal changes, and instead of growing, my hair was coming out in patches. Just a few short months of getting treatments from Tonya, my hair was renewed and became healthy under her care. About 3 years ago, in a rush, took the advice of someone else and let another stylist in another city do my hair, needless to say it turned out to be a mess. But, once again Tonya straightened it out. I am truly greatful for her and for her God-given talent. Tonya, in my personal opinion is the HOTTEST stylest in 757, 804 area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First and foremost, I want to give a shout out to my BEST friend “Cookie” of over 12 years. Just to let everyone know, I believe she is “THE” best hair stylist I know. She’s been doing my hair for more than 10 years now. Anytime someone moves away and “REFUSES” to let someone else do their hair, that show’s commitment to your stylist. Needless to say, I recently moved back home to NYC where I can go to any Dominican to get my hair done, but I choose not too. Nothing against Dominicans! They can do hair also, but “Cookie,” is “MY” stylist. I come down to VA just to get my hair done because she knows “ME.” I literally watched her blossom into an experienced, professional, and creative hair stylist. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t give credit to where credit is due if I didn’t mention the individuals that helped my friend achieve her expertise. Cookie first started under the “Wonderfully Talented” Shawn Newby (now blessing the ATL) at Elite #1, which was operated by another “Expert Stylist,” LaTonya “Tonya” Hawkins. After Shawn Newby went on to future endeavors, that’s when she continued to stay committed to Tonya Hawkins, owner and operator, at the now publicly known “Shear Image – Where Image Means EVERYTHING” in Hampton, VA. I guess what I’m trying to say is: Thank you Cookie for sticking with your true talent. You’ve learned from the best! Keep doing what you are doing plus more and you will reach levels at heights you would have never imagined. You have the skills and knowledge to do so. I believe you!

I am a very picky and particular person when it comes to who does my hair. I was referred to cookie and I have been going to cookie now for about 3 years. She is the best and all about “hair care”. She takes good care of her cllients. She doesnt just rush you through she loves what she does and always aim to please. She is a perfectionist! Her shampoo is the best too. The shop is so clean which is very important to me. My hair is very healthy and long I get compliments everywhere I go and the big question. “Who does your hair”.
Take it from a picky person she is the best.. If you visit one time you will know what I’m talking about…

Tonya has been doing my hair for about 8-9 years now. She is the best. Because of a change in my schedule I went to other salons for about a year or 2. Four different stylists worked on my hair during that time. HUGE mistake. I came back to Tonya because no one gives my hair the attention and care that it needs. Tonya keeps my hair healthy. Thank you Tonya. The salon also offers a variety of other hair services. If excellent hair care is what you are looking for Shear Image is the place. Tonya and Cookie are top-notch. Keep up the good work ladies. You have a God-given talent.
